NorthBay Health

FAA 1st, 2nd and 3rd class medical exams

Northbay Health’s Aviation Medical Examiner offers physicals for FAA 1st class medical certificates for airline transport pilots, 2nd class medical certificates for the commercial pilot, and 3rd class medical certificates for student, recreational and private pilots who fly for pleasure or personal business.

The FAA medical exam is a straightforward physical to assess your health history and overall fitness for flight, including having your vision and hearing checked. If you wear glasses or contacts, please make sure your prescription is up to date; we will need to test your corrected and uncorrected vision.

Feel free to familiarize yourself with the medical requirements for the 1st class certificate, 2nd class certificate and 3rd class certificate here on the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations website, including disqualifying medical conditions and medications.
