For so many people, having a baby is by far the biggest and happiest day of their life, and as an OB/GYN is am really fortunate that I get to experience that with them. It is quite an honor, actually.

The patients I see are hospital-based, as opposed to being seen in a clinic. I treat a wide range of obstetric and gynecologic conditions, mostly pregnancy-related, but also some emergent gynecologic conditions.

It's important for me to take the time to explain to my patients what their condition is, and to work with them to outline a post-hospital plan of care. My goal is to deliver high quality, personalized care for my patients, by emphasizing empathy, compassion and holistic health. It's my personal philosophy and believe that is why I've been told I have a good bedside manner.

By actively listening to my patients about their concerns, I am able to not only meet their unique needs and address their physical symptoms, but also the emotional, social and cultural aspects of their lives. My commitment is to open communication and shared decision-making, because that empowers my patients to actively participate in their health care journey and achieve optimal health outcomes.

When not at work, I am probably exercising or training for a triathlon, or tending to my garden. I am also interested in computer programming and have created a few applications, as well.
